Halloween-inspired Half Term ideas on a budget
Whether you are a fan of Halloween or not, over the next few weeks it’s going to be hard to escape the madness – especially with it tying in with Half Term week, too.
If you have kids, try to embrace the ghoulish delights of the season to create some holiday fun for all the family to enjoy. And, it doesn’t have to cost you the earth. Here we have listed some bargain half term ideas to suit even the ghostliest of budgets…..
Visit the Pumpkin Festival at Piglets Adventure Farm Park

With a free pumpkin for every child visitor to carve for Halloween, a visit to Piglets Adventure Park is well worth a visit this Half Term. There will be magic shows, a mysterious maize challenge and a trailer ride to the pumpkin patch to pick the perfect one!
Save money when you buy tickets online in advance and kids under 1 are free to enter. Piglets is just 15 minutes from York city centre – so make sure you book your York train tickets with Grand Central.
Blackpool’s Biggest Free Halloween Party

If you are looking for some free evening entertainment for your family in Blackpool, then head on down to Central Pier for four nights of Halloween celebration. At Pirate’s Bay Family Bar there will be children’s entertainment, competitions and music to enjoy, plus fancy dress is encouraged to get everyone into the spooky spirit!
There is also plenty of other ghostly attractions happening in Blackpool that week, from a Spooky Circus, to Late Night Rides and fireworks to a Scream Screen Drive in Cinema, too!
