Aesthetica Film Festival and Art Prize

Aesthetica is a York-based art and culture magazine founded in 2002. Since its inception the magazine has established a range of high-profile arts events putting York on the international artistic map.

The Aesthetica Short Film Festival, founded in 2011, is an international film festival which takes place annually in York at the beginning of November, a celebration of independent film from around the world and an outlet for supporting and championing filmmaking. The Aesthetica Art Prize is a celebration of excellence in art from across the world.

We are proud to support the festival, art prize and annual symposium, providing travel from London for many of the key personnel and helping to consolidate York’s reputation as a major arts destination.
