The ASLEF Union has announced that strike action will be taken by its members on Saturday 6 April.

There is also an ASLEF Union overtime ban from Thursday 4 April to Saturday 6 April, and from Monday 8 April to Tuesday 9 April.

Wednesday 3, Thursday 4, Friday 5, Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 April

A normal level of service will operate throughout the day, but there will be some short-notice alterations and cancellations.

The Night Riviera Sleeper service is cancelled.

Strike day - Saturday 6 April

An extremely limited service will operate. There will be a reduced operating window with services starting at 07:00 and completed by around 19:00. If you intend to travel where trains are operating, please do check both outward and return journeys.

A very limited service will run only on the following routes between:

  • Reading and Oxford
  • Reading and Basingstoke
  • Westbury and Swindon (peak time only)
  • Cardiff and Bristol
  • Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple
  • Plymouth and Gunnislake
  • Penzance and St Ives

Sunday 7 April

Trains will run as planned with some changes to service start-up and some planned cancellations. Please check before you travel.

The Night Riviera Sleeper service is cancelled.
