With summer in full swing, it’s time to grab your family and friends and head off to explore the best events the UK has to offer.
Whether it’s with a train from London Kings Cross station, a train into Newcastle train station or a trip to York, there is bound to be an event near to you…
Wimbledon
A firm favourite on Britain’s list of most-loved sporting events, Wimbledon 2019 takes place this year from 1st July – 14th July in south-west London.
One of the oldest tennis tournaments in the world, Wimbledon has been played since 1877 and regularly climaxes with one of the most nail-biting tennis finals on the circuit.
Although the ballot for this year’s tickets has now closed, you can still get tickets on the door, based on a queueing first-come-first-serve system. People are known to queue overnight to be in with a chance of getting their hands on a ticket, so plan accordingly if you are desperate to get a seat for Centre Court!
