What can I take on the train this Christmas?

  • What are the luggage limits on Grand Central’s Christmas trains?

    • For the convenience and safety of all customers, please bring no more than three items of luggage – a maximum of one suitcase (no bigger than 30x70x90cm), a small carry-on bag and a handbag. Please don't exceed these limits as extra items can only be carried if we have space on board.
  • Additional luggage charges on our Christmas trains

    • Additional or oversized items may incur a fee. These charges can be paid at the station before boarding. 
    • We recommend checking our website or contacting customer service for the latest information on luggage fees.
  • Where to put luggage on the train

    • Please remember to make use of the luggage racks, overhead and under-seat storage on board our trains. Do not block doorways, aisles and wheelchair spaces.
  • Other items allowed on our Christmas trains

    • For the safety and comfort of all passengers, specific items are not allowed on our trains, including:
      • Hazardous materials (e.g., flammable liquids, explosives)
      • Oversized luggage that cannot be safely stored
      • Unsecured large objects that may cause injury or obstruction
  • Lost items on our trains

    • If you lose an item on one of our trains, please contact our Lost Property Office as soon as possible; this team is dedicated to reuniting passengers with their lost belongings. 
    • Provide a detailed description of the lost item and your travel details to help us locate it as quickly as possible.
