Grand Central services from Low Moor station to London Kings Cross
Grand Central Rail passengers in Yorkshire can now benefit from a new direct connection to London with the addition of the newly regenerated Low Moor station to its route.
From 2nd April 2017, Grand Central will be calling at Low Moor station near Bradford, forming part of the company’s West Riding route.
The new station will improve connectivity and give greater accessibility to the capital for both the immediate and wider community. The station is conveniently located close to the M62 motorway and offers 120 parking spaces, which are free to rail users.
As part of its investment in the route, Grand Central will be expanding its fleet to 10 trains, boosting capacity and enabling the train operator to provide more services and additional destinations, such as Low Moor Station.
In addition, Grand Central is investing £10m to fully refresh its train fleet. The refurbishment project will see the interiors, including new seat covers, on-board signage and tables in keeping with the Grand Central branding of black and orange.
Richard McClean, Managing Director of Grand Central Rail, said: “At Grand Central we are always looking at ways to improve the travel experience for passengers and hope that Low Moor residents take advantage of these additional services to enjoy the array of destinations Grand Central has to offer. As we approach our 10 year anniversary later this year, we continue to show our commitment and dedication to customer experience and these investments enable us to secure the high standards we provide for the future.”
Grand Central provides an easy and direct train service from London to Yorkshire, offering passengers the best possible customer service, recently topping the National Rail Passenger Survey, as well as comfortable seats, free Wi-Fi and extra luggage space. 4 daily services are available between West Yorkshire and London.
