It's a hat trick for Grand Central and Huddersfield Town

Grand Central has renewed its status as official travel partner for Huddersfield Town Football Club and its Town Foundation for a third year running.

The partnership, which has been agreed for a further two years, says Sean English, Grand Central’s chief operating officer, makes perfect sense to a company so rooted in the local area, “Huddersfield Town means such a lot to the communities we serve and we’re really excited to be developing projects and partnerships with the club and our other stakeholders.”

For the Terriers, it’s a great opportunity to forge links with the club’s national fanbase. Says, Huddersfield Town’s commercial director, Sean Jarvis, “Grand Central is one of the area’s key brands and it’s great for us to be aligned with a company that does such tremendous work in our communities.” The association, says Jarvis, “not only helps us take Huddersfield to the capital and promote the Yorkshire brand outside of the county, but also encourages our businesses to do the same.”

Huddersfield Town Foundation’s community projects range from breakfast clubs (which have provided almost 900,000 free and healthy breakfasts to children in local schools in the last five years) to trips to the seaside courtesy of Grand Central.

“Grand Central’s work is similarly informed by a strong sense of social responsibility – to its customers, employees, suppliers and stakeholders and how we support our communities is a fundamental issue that underpins all aspects of the business,” says English.
