The ASLEF Union has announced that strike action will be taken by its members on Saturday 6 April.
There is also an ASLEF Union overtime ban from Thursday 4 April to Saturday 6 April, and from Monday 8 April to Tuesday 9 April.
Wednesday 3, Thursday 4, Friday 5, Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 April
A normal level of service will operate throughout the day, but there will be some short-notice alterations and cancellations.
The Night Riviera Sleeper service is cancelled.
Strike day - Saturday 6 April
An extremely limited service will operate. There will be a reduced operating window with services starting at 07:00 and completed by around 19:00. If you intend to travel where trains are operating, please do check both outward and return journeys.
A very limited service will run only on the following routes between:
- Reading and Oxford
- Reading and Basingstoke
- Westbury and Swindon (peak time only)
- Cardiff and Bristol
- Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple
- Plymouth and Gunnislake
- Penzance and St Ives
Sunday 7 April
Trains will run as planned with some changes to service start-up and some planned cancellations. Please check before you travel.
The Night Riviera Sleeper service is cancelled.

There are some changes to services in preparation for the strike action taking place on the following day.

A reduced timetable will be in operation with services running on routes between London and Edinburgh and London and Leeds only.
Sunday 7 April
There are some changes to services as a result of strike action taking place on the previous day.

- Industrial action to affect Northern from Thursday 4 April until Tuesday 9 April
The ASLEF Union has announced that strike action will be taken by its members on Saturday 6 April.
There is also an ASLEF Union overtime ban from Thursday 4 April to Saturday 6 April, and from Monday 8 April to Tuesday 9 April.

Expect some short notice amendments to Northern services on these dates.
You are advised to check your full journey as other train operators are affected. Services on Northern routes shared with other train operators may be busier than usual.

South Western Railway
Thursday 4, Friday 5 April, Saturday 6 and Tuesday 9 April
A revised timetable will operate, with reductions to some services.
Services may also be subject to late notice cancellations, so please check your journey before you set off.
On Saturday, engineering work may impact your journey.
Sunday 7 April
A normal timetable will operate, however engineering work may impact your journey.
Strike day - Monday 8 April
A significantly reduced service will run on a limited number of lines, with large parts of the South Western Railway network closed.
Trains will only run between 07:00 and 19:00, with the first and last trains of the day expected to be extremely busy.
The London Underground network will also be affected by strike action
Please only travel if your journey is absolutely necessary.
Island Line
- Thursday 4 April - An hourly service will run
- Friday 5 April - An hourly service will run
- Saturday 6 April - An hourly service will run

- Alterations to some late night and early morning Southeastern services between Monday 25 and Friday 29 March
Engineering work is taking place overnight at various locations on the Southeastern network, closing some lines.
Monday to Wednesday
- The 23:20 and 23:50 London St Pancras International to Faversham services will be replaced by accessible buses between Ebbsfleet International, Gillingham and Faversham.
- From 23:25 until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Dartford and Gravesend.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- From 23:30 until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Ashford International and Dover Priory. A connecting bus will run from Dover to Ramsgate calling at all stations via Deal.
Tuesday to Friday
From 00:15 until the end of service, trains via Maidstone East will be diverted after Otford to run to or via Sevenoaks.
Accessible replacement buses will run between:
- Sevenoaks and Maidstone East, calling at all stations except East Malling.
- Maidstone East and Ashford International, calling at all stations.
- West Malling and East Malling minibus shuttle.

- Amended late night / early morning East Midlands Railway service to / from Sheffield from Monday 25 to Friday 29 March
Engineering work is taking place overnight between Chesterfield and Sheffield, closing some lines.
Monday to Thursday
The 22:32 London St Pancras International to Sheffield train service will arrive into Sheffield later than usual at 01:02.
Tuesday to Friday
The 04:58 train service from Sheffield to London St Pancras International will be departing from Sheffield earlier than usual, at 04:45. The train will run as scheduled to all other stations on the route.

- No evening trains to / from London Fenchurch Street from Monday 25 to Thursday 28 March
Engineering work is taking place between London Fenchurch Street and Barking / Upminster, closing various lines.
From 23:30 (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings) / 00:15 (Wednesday morning) until the end of service, no trains will run to / from London Fenchurch Street. Trains will be diverted to run to / from London Liverpool Street. London Fenchurch Street is a short distance from London Liverpool Street.
Shuttle train services will run between Upminster and Grays via Ockenden, and between Upminster and Pitsea via Laindon.

- Amended late night / early morning Thameslink service to / from Sutton from Monday 25 to Friday 29 March
Engineering work is taking place overnight between Herne Hill / Peckham Rye and Streatham, closing some lines.
At the end of service on Monday to Thursday evenings until approximately 05:35 on Tuesday to Friday mornings, engineering work will take place between Herne Hill / Peckham Rye and Streatham.
The 22:22 and 22:37 St Albans to Sutton services and the 22:54 Luton to Sutton service will terminate at Herne Hill.
The 05:46 Sutton to St Albans (via Hackbridge) and 05:49 Sutton to St Albans (via Wimbledon) services will start from London Blackfriars.
Thameslink overnight services between Bedford and Three Bridges / Brighton will divert non-stop via London Bridge.
Your tickets will be accepted on London Buses to complete your journeys.

Engineering work is taking place between Preston and Blackrod, closing some lines.
Monday to Thursday
The 22:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, not calling at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Horwich Parkway, Chorley and Buckshaw Parkway. A bus will be provided between Manchester Oxford Road and Preston.
The 23:17 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, not calling at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Horwich Parkway, Chorley and Buckshaw Parkway. A bus will be provided between Manchester Oxford Road and Blackpool North.
The 23:22 Blackpool North to Manchester Airport service will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, and will not call at Buckshaw Parkway, Chorley, Adlington, Blackrod, Horwich Parkway, Lostock, Bolton and Salford Crescent. A bus will be provided between Preston and Manchester Airport.
The 23:46 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, not calling at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Horwich Parkway, Chorley and Buckshaw Parkway. A bus will be provided between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston.
Tuesday to Friday
The 04:48 Manchester Airport to Blackpool North service will be diverted via (but not call at) Wigan North Western, and will not call at Salford Crescent, Bolton, Horwich Parkway, Chorley and Buckshaw Parkway. You should use the next available service.

Engineering work is taking place overnight in the Kettering area, closing some lines.
Monday to Thursday
The 22:47 and 23:54 train services between London St Pancras International and Corby will terminate at Kettering and will not call at Corby.
Rail replacement bus services will run between Kettering and Corby, connecting with rail services.
The 23:05 London St Pancras international to Derby and the 23:35 London St Pancras international to Nottingham train services will run to an amended schedule after stopping at Kettering.
Tuesday to Friday
The 04:32, 05:39 and 06:10 train services from Corby to London St Pancras International will start from Kettering.
Rail replacement bus services will run between Corby and Kettering, connecting with rail services.
The 04:12 Derby to London St Pancras International service will run to an amended timetable departing Derby at 04:44. These changes continue throughout the journey but the service will arrive into London St Pancras International as scheduled.

Tuesday to Friday:
The 04:32 Reading to Gatwick Airport service will depart Guildford and beyond later than usual, and will terminate at Redhill for rail connections towards Gatwick Airport.
The 05:59 Gatwick Airport to Reading service will start at Redhill. Earlier rail connections are available between Gatwick Airport and Redhill.

- Amended early morning East Midlands Railway service to / from Liverpool Lime Street from Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 March
Engineering work is taking place between Nottingham and Chesterfield, closing some lines.
The 05:20 Nottingham to Liverpool Lime Street service will depart Nottingham at the earlier time of 05:09, running as booked from Chesterfield.
The 06:49 Liverpool Lime Street - Norwich service will start at Warrington Central at it's booked time of 07:16. You should travel by Northern and TransPennine Express services to connect with the train.

- Amended Caledonian Sleeper services on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 March
Engineering work is taking place at various locations on the Caledonian Sleeper network, closing some lines.
As a result, all trains starting on Thursday or Friday will be retimed and diverted, and will not call at Watford Junction, Crewe, Preston, Carlisle, Carstairs or Motherwell.
Trains towards London on Thursday, and all services to / from London on Friday will be diverted to run to / from London Kings Cross instead of London Euston.
On Thursday and Friday, the 21:43 Aberdeen to London Euston service will not run. You should instead use other services to connect with Caledonian Sleeper services at Edinburgh.

- Buses replace late night / early morning trains between Letchworth Garden City and Royston from Thursday 28 to Friday 29 March

- Amended Elizabeth line services on Friday 29 March until Monday 1 April
Engineering work is taking place at various locations on the Elizabeth line network, closing a number of lines.
No Elizabeth line services will run between London Paddington and Stratford / Abbey Wood.
Services to / from Shenfield will be amended to run between Shenfield and London Liverpool Street not via Whitechapel. Trains that usually run between Shenfield and Heathrow Terminal 5 will run between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5 only.
An amended and reduced service will run between London Paddington and Heathrow / Maidenhead / Reading.
Sunday:
Before 07:40, no trains will run between London Paddington and Ealing Broadway.
All day on Sunday, a reduced service will run to / from London Liverpool Street.

Engineering work is taking place between Brixton and Nunhead, closing all lines.
- Bexleyheath Line: Trains between London Victoria and Dartford will not run. Additional trains will run between Cannon Street and Dartford via Bexleyheath.
- Sole Street line: Trains between London Victoria and Gillingham via Denmark Hill will run non stop between London Victoria and Bromley South. On Sunday, these trains will only run between London Victoria and Gillingham because of further engineering work.

- Amended Thameslink service through Bromley South from Friday 29 to Monday 1 April
Engineering work is taking place in the Bromley South area, closing some lines.
All day on Good Friday, buses replace trains between Herne Hill and Bromley South, calling at all stations except Nunhead and Ravensbourne, and also calling additionally at Beckenham Junction.
If you are travelling to Nunhead and Ravensbourne, your tickets will be accepted on London Bus routes P12 and 354.
Thameslink Sevenoaks / Orpington services will run to a revised timetable and divert via Kent House, calling additionally at Beckenham Junction and Herne Hill.
Engineering work is taking place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The amended timetable has yet to be confirmed. This page will be updated as more is known.

Engineering work is taking place between Shenfield / Billericay to Witham, closing all lines.
Train services from Norwich, Ipswich, Clacton-on-Sea, Colchester and Braintree will terminate at Witham, connecting into the following rail replacement bus routes:
- Fast buses: Witham to Billericay, for London bound travelers, taking approximately 50 minutes.
- Stopper buses: Witham to Billericay via Hatfield Peverel and Chelmsford; taking approximately 1 hour 5 minutes.
Connecting train services will operate between Billericay and London Liverpool Street, serving Shenfield and Stratford. Services to / from Southend Victoria and Southminster will be retimed.
For passengers travelling to / from Ingatestone station, a shuttle bus service will operate between:
- Chelmsford and Ingatestone
- Ingatestone and Shenfield.
